It's been tough for my hubby and I to find good information on a bunch of the things we've gone through regarding fertility issues, prematurity, twins, food allergies, etc. We've had a bunch of odd stuff with our kids. They are currently in good health with no problems at all. It would have been helpful to us to have access to more info regarding the previously mentioned topics as we were going about our way. I'm just hoping to post up some of what we've been through to provide information to others. I also love the idea of having a place to write my thoughts, to share what I've learned and to just write.
So what's our story? Simplified version: We tried to have kids for four years without success. We then went through a myriad of fertility methods and had a successful pregnancy with our second In Vitro Fertilization cycle. We ended up with twins. I went into labor at 30 weeks and spent a month in the hospital on a wide range of drugs to remain pregnant long enough. The twins weren't born until 36 weeks...pretty good for twins, but still premature. We were back in the hospital at two weeks old for a few days when the twins had unexplainable fevers. A few weeks after that we were dealing with two babies with milk protein allergies. We've been through a wide array of other stuff, but now the kids are almost 8 months old and healthy.
I'm a full time working mom, with a fantastic husband and a hardworking babysitter. I spend almost every minute of my day planning, preparing, and executing something for family, work or friends. That's what brings me to this blog. I need an outlet. So this is it.
